Groups Fundraising Drive April to May 2023

We have the opportunity to double any funds raised by the 31st May, and our groups have an action packed diary of creative, fun initiatives and events to raise funds.

Aphasia Awareness Month

To mark Aphasia Awareness Month this June 2022, we are launching a Board Game Café campaign.

We’d love you to run your own Board Game Café, to raise awareness of aphasia and funds for us here at Aphasia ReConnect to help us keep supporting our members with aphasia.

Spring party 2022

It was lovely to see old and new friends at our Spring Party in April.

We had some great conversations, games, and a lot of fun all round!

Carol concert

What: An evening of music and mince pies, celebrating our members and all we’ve achieved together this year.

When: 21st December at 6:30pm

Where: Christ Church Southwark

Free admission, all welcome!

We will also be livestreaming the concert on Zoom if you cannot join us in person.

Christmas party

We had a lovely time on December 16th with a special seasonal drop-in for all members and their friends and family.

We also sadly said goodbye to Sophie, one of our Speech and Language Therapists. We’ll miss you Sophie!

Organ and Choral Classics concert

We had a great evening of choral and organ music on Saurday 20th November at 6pm at Bromley Parish Church St Peters & St Pauls. Many thanks to William McVicker and the Bromley Parish Church Music crew, and to everyone who came along!

We had a fantastic afternoon at Christ Church Southwark on Friday 29th October, seeing old friends and new.

Running for aphasia

We are very grateful to have Humphrey Keenlyside running for us this year.

Humphrey is the husband of one of our volunteers, Frances Jane, and we think they’re both amazing!

He completed the asics London 10K on 25th July, and the Windsor Great Park half-marathon on 26th September. You can support him (and us!) by donating here:

Summer Celebration

UCL World Stroke Day Forum 2020

A week-long forum bringing together people with aphasia, researchers and clinicians to contribute to stroke research and rehabilitation

We will be hosting two LIVE meet and greet sessions

Meet Sally from Aphasia Reconnect and chat about how we support people with Aphasia through our peer-support network.
