Mandy’s fundraiser for Aphasia Re-Connect

Our amazing volunteer Mandy is swimming for Aphasia Re-Connect!

We’re incredibly proud of our brilliant volunteer Mandy, who is taking on the Great North Swim to raise money for Aphasia Re-Connect.

Mandy has been a passionate and dedicated part of our community, and her commitment to supporting people with aphasia shines through in everything she does. She’s chosen to take on this challenge because she understands how devastating aphasia can be.

As Mandy says:
“Imagine waking up after a stroke and not being able to speak. How difficult and life-changing. Many people in the prime of their careers can no longer work. In seconds, their lives are changed.”

Through her work with us, Mandy sees first-hand how isolating aphasia can be – and how much difference connection and support can make. From regular group meetings to help with everyday tasks like phone calls and paperwork, Aphasia Re-Connect is here to make sure no one has to face aphasia alone.

We’re so touched by Mandy’s determination to raise awareness and funds for our charity. Every donation she receives goes directly towards supporting people with aphasia and their families.

Please join us in cheering Mandy on and, if you can, donate to support her swim and this vital cause.

Thank you, Mandy – you’re amazing!
